Yasmine Magdy holds 2 bachelor’s degrees in Foreign Applied Languages from the Université française d’Égypte and Université Sorbonne Nouvelle and a master’s degree from the École Supérieure d’Interprètes et de Traducteurs in Paris (2019) where she wrote a thesis on Islamic feminism and translation. Her doctoral research focusses on gender-related issues in religious translation and she is particularly interested in analysing the position women hold in Vatican texts translated into English, French, and Arabic.
